The Dungeness Estate is a good example of how we use Meshy AI in Unity. The Dungeness Estate was Built in 1884 on Cumberland Island, Georgia, the Dungeness Mansion served as a winter retreat for Thomas Carnegie\u2014younger brother and business partner of Andrew Carnegie\u2014along with his wife Lucy and their nine children. Over the years, the estate expanded dramatically, reaching approximately 35,000 square feet by 1916. Tragedy struck in 1959 when fire consumed the mansion, leaving only its brick and stone walls standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because many of the building are in ruins and the rest are showing varying stages of decay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We used Meshy AI with our Unity Bridge to reconstruct many of the buildings (3D Models) from a text description and\/or just old images of the buildings. These Virtualizations with Meshy AI are an important part of keeping the Story of the Dungeness Estate Alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Traditional Modelling tools to Virtualize Dungeness would have been very expensive in time and money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three perspectives of the Dungeness Estate are presented below. The left column displays historical photographs from the 1890s. The center column features contemporary images of the estate. The right column showcases digitally reconstructed visualizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Dairy Barn, Dog Kennel, Mushroom house and Water Tower are all fully destroyed and virtualized but not shown here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Water Wheel House is fairly deteriorated but has been Virtualized (not shown here).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Boat House is also deteriorating but it got an new roof which has slowed decay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Tabby House, Grange House and the Pergola are all in good shape. It appears that they were restored at some point.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
